Makeup Geek Eyeshadows Starter Kit (Review and Swatches)

Finally I received my most awaited package from Makeup Geek. I was supposed to receive the package earlier, but for some reason my package got stuck in custom office. However, after some paper work and custom clearance I received my package and finally I'm getting around it.
If you are curious to know about why I was so excited about these shadows, it's because I saw many raved reviews about these eyeshadows and saw some big bloggers were comparing the quality of makeup geek eyeshadows with MAC that's what caught my attention.
I'm a biggest admirer of Marlena. If you are a makeup junkie like me you must be familiar with her, in case if you are not. Marlena is a makeup artist and a YouTube makeup guru, but consider herself to be a Makeup Educator. I have been watching and learning from her makeup tutorials on youtube and youtube is almost flooded with her makeup tutorials. She recently released her own line of eyeshadows and I'm lucky enough to get an opportunity to review her starting line.

SadeeStyle Review:
Makeup Geek Eyeshadows Starter Kit is a combination of nine neutral eyeshadows are specifically chosen by Marlena to be the best shadows to get your collection started and will serve as a solid foundation for the most stunning looks. I'm more into bright and vibrant shades, but I could not resist myself to admit that these colours are more suitable for everyday use. Creme brulee, unexpected, Cocoa bear and Mocha are perfect for office and routine look and use drama queen, prom night and glamorous eyeshadows if you want to add a little glamour into your look. Shimma shimma is a perfect highlight eyeshadow to use at brow bone area and finally corrupt is a jet black shade perfect for smokey eyes. Probably a best black controllable eyeshadow I have come across.
If you scroll up and see an image of swatches on my arm you can realise that all eyeshadows are highly pigmented. These are wonderful with and without primer all colours are vibrant and highly pigmented and colour payoff i awesome. These are matte eyeshadws texture is smooth powdery, but not creamy. These blend beautifully and glided on lid smoothly without leaving stains.
In the start I mentioned that some bloggers are comparing the quality with MAC I myself have not tried out MAC eyeshadows, but these are probably a best eyeshadows kit I have ever used so far and these are available in the half the price of MAC shadows without sacrificing quality.
Makeup Geek eyeshadows comes in a pans only those can be placed in empty palettes such as MAC, Pro and Z palettes. The pans these come with are metal so they will stick to the magnet compact. With this method, you can build your own custom palette it will save extra cost and the plastic that eyeshadow compact bring.

Pros:
  • Texture is amazing.
  • Great colour selection.
  • Super Pigmented.
  • Amazing colour pay off.
  • Long Lasting.
  • These are good in texture, smoother in blending and less in fallout.
  • The ship worldwide at affordable rates.
  • Can be compared to MAC and can get in half price
  • Cruelty, Talc and Paraben-Free.
Cons:
  • Expensive.
  • Not available at local store.
Rating:
4.5/5
